Haven't come across this ever and not finding much online.

I have a bastion SSH host that's now refusing logins giving the error:

"server refused to allocate pty"

This is a Solaris zone, is there a system setting I need to bump up?

Thanks in advance!

PTYs are dynamic in Solaris 10, so if you really are running out its
because of memory exhaustion - check to make sure you dont have old
processes hanging around tying up space.

Also you might want to check for any login expiration etc - some SSH
clients can react oddly when they get rejected by PAM.
